Barry Wood moves to Shanghai

Barry Wood is leaving his post as operations director, BLC Leather Technology Centre to become technical director at Shanghai Richina Leather (SRL) in Shanghai, China. His role is part of SRL's plan to further develop the innovation and R&D for the continued expansion of all divisions in the company. SRL have a global strategy to be a leader in fashion and technology for all facets of the leather business. The company have also recently appointed Russell Bentley, ex Murgon Leather in Australia, as upholstery business unit manager for SRL. Bentley will have complete responsibility for the management and growth of that division. Joanne Kim has also joined to strengthen the global sales force for SRL. The company have opened a garment division office in Seoul, which she will manage. Joanne Kim has been in the Korean garment business for several years on the procurement side. In the shoe leather division Michael Blankinship, has recently joined the Shanghai Richina Leather US sales team. He has been appointed to handle the mid west accounts in the US. Blankinship was formerly with Dockers.
