BASF increase price for glyoxal worldwide

Europe: +€40/mt USA/South America: +US$66/mt, $0.03/lb Asia: +US$100/mt These price adjustments are necessary to support BASF's ongoing efforts to assure highest levels of product and service quality to their customers globally in times of continued increases in raw materials and energy costs. BASF supply glyoxal as an intermediate for the chemical industry and for a variety of other industrial applications. Glyoxal is used, for example, in manufacturing paper, polymers, textiles and leathergoods. BASF are one of the world's leading producers of glyoxal with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons worldwide and plants in Ludwigshafen, Germany and Geismar, Louisiana (USA).
