Clariant's spring/summer 2008 forecast

16 October 2006

Clariant's Leather Business have launched their new Global Colour Forecast shade card illustrating the latest fashion colours for the forthcoming spring/summer season 2008. The company will give their clients a first insight into colour trends for shoe, garment, upholstery and accessories in leather. In co-operation with an international trend institute, Clariant are able to present this exclusive information directly to their customers at an early stage. Fashion thrives on opposites, a point which is certainly true of this season's predictions. The latest colour themes for spring/summer 2008 come in contrasting pairs: Versailles and Fly the Flag; Township and Coastal Path Colours. Versailles' gilded tones offer a look of sophisticated luxury, whereas Fly the Flag's primary brights are fresh and basic with no allusions to grandeur. The delicate natural tints of Coastal Path offer the total opposite to Township's brooding summer dark shades. The four colour directions for summer 2008 are illustrated on real leather samples showing both wet-end formulations, realised with Clariant's high quality Derma and Sandoderm dyes, and finishing based on the company's innovative Neosan 2000 and PPE Pigment range. Colours create fashion and set the trends for tomorrow. That is the reason why Clariant are continuously speeding up their fashion activities on an international basis. The result is the new set of colour cards - published well in advance of their corresponding fashion season. To be the first is the key for a real service-driven company because nothing changes so quickly as fashion colours and styles.
