DyStar release sustainability report21 December 2011
As part of their long-term commitment to sustainability and transparency, DyStar have released on December 17 their first annual sustainability report. The report relates to the Group’s 2010 activities and was further built on their first Carbon Footprint Report, which was published in August.
As a leading dyestuff and leather chemical manufacturer, DyStar say they are committed to operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. Their sustainability strategy aims to create value for all stakeholders; and the release of the report demonstrates and reinforces the Group’s commitment to sustainability and transparency.
The report covers the following areas:
- Sustainable products and services
- REACH compliance
- Greenhouse gas emissions
- Occupational health and safety
- Economic performance
The Group’s 2010 Sustainability Report reveals what DyStar are doing to reduce their impact on the environment, make their workplace safer and help customers reduce their environmental impact with DyStar’s products and services. It contains policies and practices that are aimed at running the Group’s business responsibly. It also talks about the future course of action for DyStar.
Announcing the release of the report, Steve Barron, the Group’s CEO commented, ‘As a responsible company we are committed to an open and transparent dialogue with all our stakeholders to harness ideas and suggestions to improve the Group’s sustainability performance.’
DyStar 2010 Sustainability Report was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, the internationally recognized standard for sustainability reporting. The report can be downloaded at www.DyStar.com
