Ecco buy Corle

Ecco Sko A/S have acquired Corle BV and Holland Crust BV. Both companies will be merged in the first months of 2001 into one company with the name Ecco Tannery Holland BV. The company will have Panos Mytaros as managing director and will also employ a new tannery manager for both activities. Ecco are also planning a new clear organisation where Harry Klomp will deal with all planning and order issues and Jan Koetje will deal with all accounting and finance matters. Anne Claire will deal with all personnel issues. There will also be a new appointment to take responsibility for the purchasing of all items including chemicals for both companies and machinery/spare parts and all general materials. At Holland Crust, Frederic D'Anvers will be responsible for crust production and the retanning area and deal with technical matters. At Corle, in the beamhouse, Panos Mytaros will be the one to authorise any technical changes while closely working with Nico Eskens who is the technical consultant for the Ecco Group with regard to beamhouse matters. Ecco are planning to invest heavily in many areas of the existing factory, but also in the building of a new development building and office for Ecco Leather BV. Ecco Leather BV is the management company for all Ecco's tanneries and will deal with all issues concerning leather in the Ecco Group. Ecco will construct a new building which will be rented to Unico Leather BV as of the fourth quarter 2001. Ecco want to continue the strategy of Corle and Holland Crust, where they are producing for external customers. They intend to strengthen close relations between customers and suppliers in the future.
