Fire damages Apex tannery

Machinery and finished leather worth around US$100,000 have been destroyed in a fire at the Apex Tannery Ltd Dhaka, the largest tannery in Bangladesh. The management declared that the fire originated from a dust colour machine in the tannery at 127 Hazaribagh, Dhaka, on September 15. The fire brigade managed to salvage goods worth more than Taka15 million (US$263,389).
