Croatia's National Statistics Office has reported that Croatia exported leather and leather products, excluding footwear, worth US$29.5 million in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 89.3%. Croatian imports of the same commodities were 2.2% lower year-on-year at $56.7 million. Hides and skins exports in the January to September 2002 period were 24.9% higher year-on-year at $14.6 million, while imports of the same commodities were 92.7% higher at $18.8 million.
