GeMaTa Jumbostar gains extra width

19 December 2005

At Tanning Tech, GeMaTa's live demonstrations of their Jumbostar SR 3400 proved very popular and attracted a lot of interest. The roller coater, fitted with the new 'stucco' rollers, showed how it is possible to fill both deep and light defects in the hide with pre base-coat products. The machine had already been sold to Vitapelli, Brazil. Their latest version of the Jumbostar, the SR 3800, allows hides to be finished by feeding them from the belly. In this way, it is possible to finish the leather from the side, increasing productivity by 25-30% and improving quality. Every point of the leather is in contact with the engraved roller during the coating process, benefits from an even thickness and gains better spreading of the product on the leather without pleats and wrinkles.
