Henan Prosper one of largest woolskin tanners

5 January 2005

Henan Prosper Skins & Leather Enterprise Co Ltd are tanners and manufacturers of quality lambskins and one of the largest wool-on tanneries in the world. In our November edition we pictured a small part of their range on the PPS Europe stand at Lineapelle and mistakenly stated that Henan Prosper take their wet-blue from the Belgium tannery and apologise for any confusion caused. In reality, PPS are Henan Prosper's partner in Europe, a joint venture company who mainly carry out the sales of HP's products and customer service in Europe and Russia. PPS have their own big warehouse with room for about ten containers of goods to enable a quick delivery to customers. The original owner of PPS sold the tannery to others some time ago and the name of that tannery in Belgium is Pelstan. Henan Prosper tell us that all the skins from HP are totally processed from raw to finished in their own tannery in China. They do not buy any semi finished skins from other tanneries. At present, they have a programme for the shipment of large quantities of crust skins to the Russian market. Henan Prosper also have an Oceania branch: Dynasty Australia International Pty Ltd in Melbourne, and a US branch: Henan Prosper USA Inc in Los Angeles. Their current production capacity is 15,000 pieces every day, equal to 120,000 sq ft. Production activity is carried out seven days each week for the whole year. They buy raw skins from all over the world to guarantee their huge production. All of their products are exported to the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Russia and European countries.
