Jordan's Department of Statistics reports that Jordan imported hides, skins and leather, worth US$1.24 million in 2002, compared with US$779,095 the previous year. Jordanian exports of the same types of commodities in 2002 were worth US$891,963), as against US$1.18 million in 2001. Jordanian leather products imports last year worth US$5.88 million compared with those worth US$3.60 million the previous year. Leather products exports were worth only US$801,891, as against US$14.2 million in 2001.
