Leather project approval

The state-owned Development Bank of Kazakhstan has approved a development project at the Semipalatinsk leather plant, which will see the plant importing European-made equipment in order to increase its annual production capacity to 120 million square decimetres of leather, according to the Interfax news agency. The project will cost US$40 million. It is believed, that the bank will provide financing to the project. However, the report has not been directly confirmed with the Bank.
