Letter response from Dr Lampard

10 March 2010

Dear Dr Naviglio, Thank you for taking the time to write a letter on the subject of Leather Chemists. You are, of course, quite correct in all your comments, and I agree that certainly Professor A Simoncini, should have been in that list - my apologies for his omission.

He was one of the scientists
I admired when I was working at BLC and training at the British School of Leather Technology. And, you and other co-workers at SSIP have indeed given a lot to the leather scientific community, and it is good to see that your work is still ongoing. I am delighted to acknowledge the work Italian leather chemists have done for the leather community - and wholeheartedly agree that you have disseminated your work widely at IULTCS Congresses.

Yours sincerely
Dr Graham Lampard
