LWG looks to the future

21 April 2011

There was a full house at the LWG meeting held in Hong Kong on March 29, 2011, which attracted the largest number of attendees to date when 100 representatives of LWG members gathered at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hotel to discuss a full agenda. The meeting venue was hosted by Pentland Group.

As the Leather Working Group grows in terms of membership and influence, it is important that the structure and operational aspects are also developed to meet the changing needs of the organisation. This was among the weighty issues debated at the meeting and subject to a vote by LWG members.

Traceability, a key aspect of the latest environmental audit process, was the focus of a presentation made by Tim Wilson of Historic Futures, who offered his thoughts on solutions to this complex question.

Further news of the outcomes of the meeting will be reported at a later date.
