LWG silver for Henan Prosper

Chinese ovine tanners, Henan Prosper have been awarded Leather Working Group (LWG) silver status following a recent environmental audit. HP say that the LWG silver  is recognition that the company have always taken responsibility for protecting the environment and contributing to a sustainable society.


Established in 1994, Henan Prosper Skins & Leather (HP) are a leading company in the sheepskin tanning industry. For the past 18 years, HP have manufactured top-quality sheepskins for many international brands. The merger with Spanish tanners, Colomer in 2008 was another milestone in HP’s history while serving numerous customers around the world in the garment, footwear, medical, flooring and other industrial sectors.
Michael Lu, CEO and Founder of HP has been nominated twice in Leather International’s ‘top 20 tanners in the world’ in 2009 and 2010.
