Minister to open IILF 2011

The 26th India International Leather Fair in Chennai will be inaugurated by Virbhadra Singh, Indian Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on January 31. The ceremony will take at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai and the fair will take place from January 31 to February 3.The IILF this year will cover an area of 9000 sq m up from 8400 in 2010 and will host 409 exhibitors including 129 from 20 overseas countries.


The show is part of a 'Leather Week' in India which also features the LERIG meeting at the CLRI including presentations on the new global challenges for Indian exports and 'Carbon Footprint - Social Audit Factories - A New Approach' among others.

This year the ITPO, CLE and CLRI have included a trend/theme pavillion highlighting colours and textures for the Spring/Summer 2012 season. The show will be open from 10am to 6pm.
