26 September 2012Italian machinery makers, AF aim to provide the tanner with one machine which can provide a range of differing effects to the leather. AF’s machines on display at Tanning Tech can perform the following tasks:
• Holes
• Micro-holes
• Simple prints
• Apply transfer paper
• Cut articles ( cut mold )
• Perforating with program ( Factotum Mold)
• Round scales ( Snake Mold )
At Tanning Tech this year they will be highlighting two machines, Factotum Mold and Snake Mold. With factotum you can punch and cut without changing the tool and obtain a unique perforation. Using a computer you set Factotum and make symbols, names and other identifying marks.
With Snake Mold tanners can recreate round aquatic and reptile scales on non-exotic leather substrates.
