New chemical developments from Silvateam
8 October 2012Silvateam have introduced their two latest leather chemicals. Technical staff will be on hand at Tanning Tech in Bologna this week to discuss each in more detail.
Ritan MM is a new vegetable extract which combines the light-pale rose colour with the good light and heatfastness. The fullness and roundness are extremely good. Ritan MM is suitable for both leather goods and shoe uppers on full vegetable and chrome articles. It contains a high concentration of tannins and therefore it can be used, during the vegetable tannage, alone or in combination with other extracts according to the final colour required. The product is available both in powder and liquid form.
Blancotan ANF is a new synthetic tannin with amphoteric properties. It gives leathers excellent fullness, roundness and a pleasant touch due to the innovative production process and the high quality of the raw materials. Its excellent light and heatfastness and its high tanning concentration allow Blancotan ANF to be used in the manufacture of leathers for the automotive and white sport shoe sectors. Thanks to its innovative formulation, this syntan is suitable for the production of washable and waterproof articles on chrome leathers. Very good washable and water resistance results are also obtained on chrome-free leathers. The product is available both in powder and liquid form.
