New customs duties

BISNIS, part of the US Department of Commerce, Washington DC, has reported that the new rate of duty on raw hides imported into Turkmenistan is 20%. The import duty on shoes is 30%. Concerning exports, the duty on lambskins exported from Turkmenistan is 50%, but not less than US$2 per piece. The new duties come into effect as a result of Presidential Decree No.5121 dated February 26, 2001.
