New Italian machinery company

Five partners with several years of experience in the leather making machinery business have established a new company, Italian Tecnology Machine (ITM). Founded in July 2001, the company have introduced three new machines onto the marketplace: two shaving machines with working widths of 1.8m and 3.0m and an embossing press. 'We first sold one of our machines at the end of last year to a tanner in Italy and from then onwards the response to our machines has been very positive', says Franco Bertucci, president. Bertucci had previously worked for Rizzi 1857 and Flamar Tomboni. ITM are located in Gottolengo close to Brescia in northern Italy and so far they have applied for two patents on their new machines. ITM exhibited at Tanning Tech in November where they showed their 1.8m shaving machine for the first time.
