New look Modacalzado a success

16 December 2011

The twenty-ninth edition of Modacalzado + Iberpiel, the international footwear and leather goods fair will take place from March 11-13 at the Feria de Madrid next year.

With three months to go before the show, a number of large footwear firms such as Mascaró, Sacha London, Pons Quintana, Rebeca Sanver, Xti and Callaghan have already renewed their participation, effectively backing the new fair format that was unveiled at last September's edition, which featured a new location (the thematic area for fashion-based events at Feria de Madrid known as DC Area 12.14), together with an integral change in décor. All of these changes were also warmly received by buyers, who demonstrated the highest levels of satisfaction according to a survey carried out by the show organisers following the conclusion of the September edition.

The fair's comprehensive transformation has led a number of new companies to join the fair, such as Hoss Intropia, Coronel Tapioca, Karhu, Privata, Garvalín and Latinas. These new participants, alongside various segment leaders will highlight the latest new ideas in footwear and leather goods for next season, in this case for the Autumn-Winter 2012/2013 Season.

Coinciding with the trade exhibition will be the IdeasLab Area, a forum designed to cater for the diverse information and guidance needs of traders within the industry. This section of the fair is promoted by FICE, the Spanish Footwear Industries Federation, and will feature an attractive and comprehensive range of activities and conferences based on an eminently practical approach. As a new development on this occasion, a series of product presentations will be staged by a number of outstanding Spanish and foreign brands.
