Tex Biosciences, based near Chennai, were formerly known as Textan Chemicals and have recently changed their name. An ISO 9001-2000 certified company, they export their range of enzymes and chemicals. to various countries worldwide. They have built a new factory near Chennai, fitted with sophisticated machinery and technology to manufacture high quality enzymes, preservatives, syntans, fatliquors and auxiliaries for the tanning industry.

Tex Biosciences have specialised in the field of enzymes and speciality chemicals for the leather industry over the past three decades and recently launched their unique enzyme and TCMTB free preservatives for leather processing. Some of their latest products are as follows:
Micro Bate GS: this is a special enzyme formulation with good bating and bleaching action on hides. It produces a very good scud release without loosening.
Tex Bio–D: an eco-friendly degreasing enzyme for all types of hides and skins. It breaks the fat cells easily, promoting effective degreasing without compromising the tensile strength and the silky feel of the grain. It can be used during soaking and the grease content is reduced considerably and is especially useful when processing for wool-on skins.
Texzyme HS: this enzyme has fibre-splitting properties which promotes internal and uniform softness and milling for buffed upholstery and naturally milled cowhides. HS treated leathers aid fatliquor penetration and bath exhaustion. In larger hides more softness is obtained in the neck and butt areas. The resultant HS treated leather gives more area yield.
Tex Preserve AP SPL: a phenol, TCMTB free fungicide for chrome tanning is quite user friendly and effectively protects wet-blue from fungal attack. This preservative can also be used in pickling, fatliquoring and finishing.
Lunaderm KRG: a compact high performance anionic fatliquor (APEO, NPEO free), which is lightfast for soft gloving and upholstery leathers. It has good compatibility with sulphited/sulphonated oils. Leathers treated with KRG are less prone to rancidity and maintain a high degree of softness for long periods.
Tex Biosciences provide a full range of syntans, fatliquors and tanning auxiliaries for the tanning industry.
