New Vietnam shoe factory

Work has begun on a shoe factory in the Cuu Long Delta. The US$50 million factory in Thuan Dao Industrial Park in the southern province of Long An's Ben Luc District is expected to employ more than 40,000 people. Covering 80ha, the factory will be the biggest in the delta and is expected to open late in 2003. It will produce shoes for export Source: Daily Vietnam News, Hanoi
