Next UITIC footwear congress to be hosted by CLIA

5 December 2012

UITIC (International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians) will organise their 18th International Technical Footwear Congress in Guangzhou, China on November 13-16, 2013. The next UITIC will be organised and hosted by the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA).

Footwear manufacturers and experts will discuss “Social Responsibility: a challenge for the footwear industry” and innovation in the footwear market. It’s the first time that the UITIC Congress is organised in China, the main footwear manufacturer country in the world.

Key themes for the 18th International Technical Footwear Congress will be product and process innovation, consumer protection, business practice and know-how.

This congress will bring together experts and decision makers, who all play an important role in the worldwide footwear manufacturing process. Several visits to footwear factories are also programmed.

During their stay, participants will be able to discover the cities of Guangzhou, Dongguan and Hong Kong.

The last congress was held in Mexico City in October 2010 where more than 600 people participated. For more information contact: uitic@chinaleather.org
