Nine-month production in Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia and Serbia

Kyrgyzstan's National Statistics Committee reports that the production of leather and leather products in Kyrgyzstan increased by a substantial 274% in the first nine months of this year compared with the same period in 2005. Production during the period included 3.96 million square decimetres of chrome-tanned leather products and 806,000 square decimetres of 'stiff leather products'. Macedonia's State Statistics Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Macedonia in the first nine months of this year was 9.4% lower than in the same period in 2005. In comparison, manufacturing industry output in Macedonia in the January to September period was 2% higher year-on-year. Serbia's Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Serbia in the first nine months of this year was 2.4% lower than in the same period in 2005. In comparison, the annual increase in industrial output in Serbia in the January to September period was 5.5%.
