Offenbach leathergoods reports open-mindedness

18 April 2005

In an overall positive mood the I.L.M Winter Styles - the international leathergoods fair for autumn/winter 2005/6 - closed its doors in Offenbach looking back on a successful start to the season. 212 exhibitors from 15 countries presented their collection novelties of fashionable bags and leathergoods during the three-day long trade fair. The total of about 4,500 visitors exceeded the frequency of last year's result by 12%. At this fair event the interest of internal buyers happily had risen, while 15% more than last year had taken the opportunity to place the first orders for autumn on this occasion. With foreign visitors, too, an increase of 4% was registered. Just under 22% of the trade visitors came from 37 countries to visit the I.L.M Winter Styles. The trade presented itself as open-minded and very much interested in the novelties for autumn/winter. The exhibitor's side mentioned an increase in open-mindedness for colours and fashionable collection items and a stronger tendency towards quality. A trend towards increased placing off orders could also be observed. About 30 sales assistants took part in the 'MY.DAY' programme. 'Fit for more' was the motto and the fair offered an informative programme headlined by 'Correct assessment of the buying impulse colour' run by trainers Elisabeth Jall and Dr Sonja Bredehöft and a trend lecture about the new bag fashion autumn/winter held by fashion consultant Traudel Albrecht-Fuchs.
