One of the top 500

Desa are the only leather industry company to be named in the Istanbul Industry Chamber of Commerce's ranking of top 500 industrial corporations. They are listed as 330th. The company produce leather accessories and apparel for Marks & Spencer and are being introduced to wider world markets through US Ecco for whom Desa are agents in Türkiye. In July, Turkish exports of leather and finished leather articles increased by 7.7%, compared with the previous year and by 12.7% for the seven months (January to July). The luggage trade out of Laleli is reported as being up by 20% in the first five months of the year.
