Poland's Economy Ministry has announced it is to use the state-owned Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) bank to launch cheap credits for the restructuring of companies producing leather and leather shoes, according to the Interfax news agency. The credits will be granted to companies to finance equipment purchases and modernisation, the acquisition of licenses and patents, and structural and organisational changes. The cheap credits programme will last until 2005.
