Production line moves to Romania

Takata-Petrie, a Japanese joint venture, are transferring their steering wheel leather coating production line to Romania. The investment involved is in the region of €2.55 million. Until now, the group's operations have been developed at their Czech-based facility. Takata-Petri have purchased an 18-hectare plot of land outside Arad to construct the steering wheel production plant which will cater to car manufacturers such as Mercedes, Audi, BMW and Nissan.
