Rise in Russian footwear production

Russia's State Statistics Committee reports that footwear production in Russia in January totalled 3.1 million pairs, a rise of 11.3% compared with the same month last year, according to the Interfax news agency. In comparison, the annual increase in overall industrial output in Russia in January was 4.9%.
