Russia considers abolishing machinery import duties

Russian Prime Minister Mikail Fradkov says that he has ordered ministries to submit draft proposals on reducing or abolishing import duties on equipment that Russia does not produce itself, according to the RIA Novosti news agency. Equipment for the livestock production sector is one of the items singled out for import duty cuts, said the report.
