Russian beef cattle investment

Russia will invest US$577 million in its beef cattle industry by 2013, including US$135 million this year, according to the Interfax news agency.


Russia's Agriculture Minister, Yelena Skrynnik, told a meeting on meat production in Rostov in early April that Russian meat production rose by 129,000 tonnes year-on-year in the first quarter of this year.
