S+S advances in wet-end technology

1 April 2006

Schill + Seilacher AG, Boeblingen, Germany, have 130 years of history in making leather processing chemicals. At Fimec 2006 in Novo Hamburgo, they will be showing new advances in wet-end technology for automotive, chrome-free and waterproof leather. New product developments are as follows: Lipsol MSG, a new generation leather softening agent with an extraordinarily low offer, produces leather with very good softness. Lipsol MSG can be used in very simple processes for all types of leather. Perfectol XTC, a new waterproofing agent for simplified application methods, results in a firm leather character with excellent Maeser and water-absorption figures and very good water-vapour permeability. Perpristol RCO is a new waterproof pull-up oil for roller-coating and drum application. Vinkol MTV is used during the soaking and liming process, which S+S say is the 'foundation stone' of leather production. Modern economical processes for hair-burn or hair-save systems, with low sulfide offer, result in cleaner, flatter pelts, with reduced effluent loading. Chrome-free leather with the Derugan Pretan System and flame retardant with the Flacavon System will be a focus on the stand. Schill + Seilacher AG will be exhibiting together with their agent Calarca SA. W Glocknitzer and B Fischer will be present at the stand. Stand 163, Aisle 3C, Pavilion 11
