Sale of shares in state firms

The Ethiopian Privatisation Agency has called for tenders for the sale of 15% or more shares in twelve enterprises wholly owned by the government of Ethiopia. To qualify, investors must be willing and able to operate and develop these companies. They include: Addis Ababa Tannery, Modjo Tannery, Ethiopia Tannery, Kombolcha Tannery, Anbessa Shoe and Rikur Abay Shoe. Closing date was March 8, 2001.
