Selin in tannery agreement

15 December 2003

Selin have formed a partnership agreement with Incas - logistics and monitoring systems - with the aim of developing one of their applications for use in tanneries. The tannery providing the necessary working conditions is Enka Tannery where integrated solutions will be sought for monitoring and logistics. The system will monitor machines and production lines; control internal and external work cycles; have the capability to trace work in progress and identify work stoppages. Data will be collected either by radio frequency transmissions or via the internet. Other features include management of programmed maintenance, the packing line, collection system and automatic distribution as well as warehouse management of raw stock and finished products. In addition, Selin were showing a new measuring machine complete with thickness device for measuring wet-blue material for both area and thickness. To complete the trio of new developments on offer from the company, they were displaying a new labelling system which can be linked to their measuring machines.
