Serbian first half foreign trade

Serbia's Statistical Office reports that Serbia exported leather and leather products worth US$71.6 million in the first half of this year, compared with US$59.1 million in the same period last year. Serbian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to June period were worth US$107 million, as against US$84.8 million in the corresponding period in 2005. Serbia's Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Serbia in the first half of this year was 5.1% higher than in the same period in 2005. In comparison, the annual increase in industrial output in Serbia in the first half of this year was 6.3%.
