Shafi Reso take the path of fashion

As globalisation marches steadily across the business landscape, Shafi Reso-Chem have chosen a course on target with the times. Together with Alpa SpA of Italy, Shafi Reso-Chem (Pakistan) have jointly organised as exhibition entitled Fashion Forecast Autumn and Winter 2006 aiming to portray the latest fashion for the leather industry forecasted for the coming season. The event was first held in September 2005 in both Karachi and Lahore. Fashion Forecast Autumn and Winter 2006 was positioned before the Bologna Fair 2005 so that the tanner could focus on precise articles in demand for the fair. The most popular articles during the exhibition were buffalo upper aniline glazed, buffalo garment aniline pull-up oily touch, cow upholstery old look, sheep mild antic, sheep cloudy, goat floater, sheep nappa talc, goat gloving, goat shoe upper, goat patent nappa and many more. In the absence of any leather fair in Pakistan, Shafi Reso-Chem found that the Fashion Forecast Autumn and Winter 2006 attracted the attention of many leading tanners in Pakistan and they appreciated the efforts and new articles. Shafi Reso-Chem and Alpa also organised a Continuous Technical Education (CTE) seminar on leather Dyeing: an educational series for technical awareness among people working in leather industry. This took place in December 2005 in Karachi. The programme was aimed to create awareness regarding the latest techniques of dyeing and the necessary requirement for the best results in dyeing process. The next Fashion Forecast: Fall and Summer is scheduled to be held in Karachi and Lahore respectively on February 25 and March 5, 2006. Shafi Reso-Chem say they have also formed a distribution agreement with Iexi (Italy) under which Shafi Reso-Chem have agreed to distribute Iexi's brands in Pakistan and in the Middle East. Iexi Italy manufacture chemical products for the finishing of leather shoes with the Meltonian brand. Shafi Reso-Chem have grown to meet the needs of the leather industry with in Pakistan and outside Pakistan but say their commitment to addressing each customer's unique challenges remains intact.
