All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) will be staged alongside Moda Shanghai and the brand new China International Footwear Fair (CIFF) at the new venue Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), Pudong, Shanghai, from September 3-5, 2003. Shanghai, which is the fashion heart as well as the financial hub of China, is the best place in China in which to access business. Five successful editions of ACLE have been held there to date and CIFF will undoubtedly benefit from its location in this most cosmopolitan city. ACLE will focus on raw materials for the product manufacturing industries: hides and skins, semi-processed and fully finished leathers, tanning machinery, process chemicals, product components and accessories. CIFF and Moda Shanghai will give buyers the complete fashion picture. CIFF will house a wide range of footwear from China and Asia looking for international buyers but also in a separate section top brands from overseas interested in establishing their brands in the local market. The scope of Moda Shanghai will include all kinds of fashion products such as handbags, leather garments, accessories and travel goods. Perrine Ardouin, senior event manager, said: 'Staging Moda Shanghai and the inaugural China International Footwear Fair alongside the well established All China Leather Exhibition in the same venue looks set to be a success. The new format will provide all participants with an across-the-board view of what China has to offer international markets and what China needs from international suppliers. The new event will generate considerable synergy between the different sections of the industry which is of benefit to everyone.' The organisers report bookings for ACLE 2003 well up on last year and group pavilions include Australia, Brazil, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and USA. Major chemical companies who have already confirmed their participation include ALPA, BASF, Bayer China, Clariant, Qingdao TFL, Jin Woong, Samsung, Stahl Asia and Shanghai Pielcolor. Leading Chinese manufacturers have confirmed their participation in CIFF and Moda Shanghai including footwear manufacturers such as China Wenzhou Fapai Fapashoes Co Ltd, Kangnai Group Co Ltd, Qingdao Hengda Group Co. Ltd; leather garments manufacturers such as Hai Ning Liema Leather Garment Co Ltd, Jinhua City Xinghua Leather Co Ltd and Wuxi Jaycee Leather Co Ltd and also leather gloves producer Shaihai Hard Leather Products Co Ltd.
