Slovenian cattle slaughter in 2007

Slovenia's Statistics Office reports that a total of 128,087 cattle of a total of 36,203 tonnes dressed carcass weight were slaughtered in slaughterhouses in Slovenia in 2007,respectively 6.4% fewer and 4.5% lower than in 2006.


The average dressed carcase weight in 2007 was 283 kilos, a year-on-year increase of 2%. The average number of cattle in Slovenia in 2007 was 479,527, compared with 454,033 in 2006 and 452,517 in 2005.
