Stahl Fourance dyes and Salem oils for Türkiye

25 April 2004

In presenting collections at Deri Gunleri's 13th edition of International Leather Days, and at the 1st Istanbul Leather Fair, held earlier in the year in Türkiye, Stahl introduced the new Fourane range of fur and wool dyes for the leather industry to complete the product package for producing doubleface leathers for clothing. The Fourane range of dyes will ensure that tanners in Türkiye are able to create the very high standard of doubleface garment leather that is their trademark. The fair was also the first opportunity for Stahl to introduce the new range of Salem oils to the Turkish market and these were presented on both shoe upper and clothing leathers. Particularly outstanding was the use of a combination of WR-5567 with either FI-4621 or MA-2441 to produce a unique surface feel and aspect on all these leathers that caused a high level of interest among visitors to the stand. Other effects shown by Stahl included crushed aniline, crystal effects with varying levels of gloss on buffed leathers, as well as classic polished aniline, all of which were well-suited to the fine grain character of Turkish cattle hides. A wide variety of sheepskins demonstrated finishes ranging from classic cationic nappa through plonge, to a wide variety of tie-dye shades and effects, flock effects and dye stains that had been splashed with solvent to produce interesting and unusual patterns. Embossing effects included croco with an oil base and aniline look that is useful for upgrading selection for the latest fashion needs. Glossy imitation glazed leathers were abraded in patches to produce an old, worn look, one of the unusual effects that finds a niche in markets where almost anything goes.
