Stride Rite narrow losses

Stride Rite Corporation (US), the Lexington-based company known for footwear brands such as Keds, narrowed their fourth quarter loss (year ended November 29, 2002). Their loss of $2 million compares with $6 million a year previously. In the fourth quarter, sales rose 10% to $98.2 million and they are expected to continue to rise at a rate of 3-5% during fiscal 2003. Source: The Boston Globe
