Tanning expert to speak at Lifestyle Leather conference
6 August 2012Robert Hein, Senior Vice President/General Manger of the Leather Department at tanners, National Beef, based in Kansas City, USA will be one of the keynote speakers at the “The Future of American Lifestyle Leathers” conference taking place in Shanghai on September 3.
Hein is a frequent public speaker on wet-blue tanning topics and is considered one of the most innovative and forward thinking tanners in the world. He has over 38 years of tanning experience throughout the world, having built and managed tanneries in Australia, China, India and the United States.
Hein’s presentation is titled: “Getting Great Results: Turning A Raw Commodity Material into a Value Added Ingredient for Beautiful Leather”. It will have a strong focus of footwear leathers particularly in the lifestyle leather segment.
