TFL expand in Asia

TFL China Ltd inaugurated their new premises in Qingdao in north western China at the end of August and have also signed an exclusive agency and distribution agreement with the Saba Group to cover most of India. The Saba Group will represent TFL through S K Sabapathy throughout the whole of India except Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh which will be serviced by existing TFL agents. Saba have been the partner of Novaria SpA for many years. Novaria will be incorporated into TFL Italia shortly. The Qingdao site will house TFL's main production, distribution, sales and applications teams in China. The coastal location is also across the Yellow sea from South Korea. The opening forms part of the company's worldwide expansion programme, which is exclusively dedicated to supplying the leather industry. The new site was officially opened by Dr H Krenz, president of TFL. Also attending the opening ceremony were Dr M Priester and Dr P Amann, TFL vice presidents as well as invited local governmental officials, key customers, suppliers and TFL colleagues from other Chinese offices in Hong Kong and branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Traditional Chinese celebrations such as fire crackers, Chinese drums and a lion dance also took place during the opening ceremony.
