Trumpler at APLF

The following new products will be launched by Trumpler at APLF in June. Truponat OC is a new liming agent based on a well-balanced combination of amines and organic sulfur compounds. It has optimum swell-regulating properties which results in excellent grain smoothness, improved scud loosening and optimised area yield. Truponat OC accelerates the penetration of other liming chemicals (eg lime and sulfide). The product can be used on all types of raw material and for the hair-pulping as well as for the hair-saving process. Pastosol U is a biodegradable surfactant, free from alkylphenol. As the product does possess degreasing, dispersing and emulsifying properties, it is universally applicable. Pastosol U is suitable for all processes from soaking up to tannage. Trupozym CF is a mild bating enzyme with 5,000 LVU, based on pancreatic enzymes. It is best suited for automotive and upholstery leather. The well-balanced enzyme composition of Trupozym CF guarantees good softness along with excellent grain tightness. Trupotan VS is a combination tanning product intended for the tannage and retannage of all types of leather, primarily for the production of chrome-free upholstery and automotive leather. Upholstery leathers which are produced with Trupotan VS show a remarkable softness coupled with a pleasant, full-round handle and an elegant grain character. Trupotan VS improves the dye levelling without bleaching. Trupotan VS has good fastness properties and will assist the tanner to produce low free formaldehyde containing leathers. Trupotan PG is a replacement powder syntan for retanning of all softy leather types and especially for the production of chrome-free car upholstery leather. Leathers which are produced with Trupotan PG have excellent softness and fullness with typically an elegant grain and a fine break. Trupotan PG has good fastness properties against heat and light and is recommended for the production of white and pastel shades. Trupotan PG has a very low contribution to the free formaldehyde value of leather and is, therefore, suitable for the tanner to use for leathers where lower free formaldehyde values are required. The product is available in liquid form as well as Trupotan PL. Trupotan HF is a retanning agent based on syntan-amino resins for universal application in the retannage of all types of leather. Trupotan HF produces leathers with spring and fullness in handle and is, therefore, useful for improving loose structured areas of the hide. The product improves the tightness of the grain. Trupotan HF has a very low contribution to the free formaldehyde value of leather and is, thus, suitable for the tanner to use for leathers where lower free formaldehyde values are required. Trupon COL is an anionic fatliquor designed to produce outstanding softness on all types of leather. Leathers fatliquored with Trupon COL exhibit an open fluffy handle coupled with extremely fine grain characteristics. Trupon COL is well suited for the production of 'super soft' shoe upper and 'floater' style leathers. When used in the production of garment leathers Trupon COL imparts a cloth like handle coupled with a smooth creamy grain. Trupon SH is an anionic semi-synthetic fatliquor in paste form. Trupon SH is designed for use on softy leather and is of particular interest for the fatliquoring of suede splits and pigskins. Leathers fatliquored with Trupon SH exhibit excellent softness coupled with a kind mellow handle. When used in the production of suede splits and pigskins, Trupon SH will assist in providing inner softness even in the hard 'shell areas'.
