Trumpler share knowledge with students

German leather chemical makers, Trumpler held during the first week of May a five-day seminar and practical training for students at the University of Northampton, Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT), (formerly known as BSLT), during which Kevin Banning and David Burgess of Trumpler were able to pass on some of their practical experience in the production of various types of leather.


The main topics covered at the seminar were retanning, dyeing and fatliquoring. In addition, a detailed presentation outlining the production of modern water resistant leather was made and followed by small-scale tannery trials.
