Turkish ten-month production

Turkey's State Statistics Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Turkey in the first ten months of 2005 was 23.9% lower than in the same period the previous year. In comparison, overall manufacturing sector output in Turkey in the January to October period was 4.1% higher year-on-year. It was also reported that Turkey's leather industry was operating at 67.8% of its production capacity in November, compared with 60% in November 2004.
