Two syntans from Smit & Zoon

Smit & Zoon have introduced two new syntans that answer to the current market demands and tannery requirements. The first product is a DCD syntan (dicyandiamide), Syntan DR 686. Syntan DR 686 has been designed to take care of the belly area in particular. Syntan DR 686 is very suitable for leathers that have to become round and full. Improving the fullness and tightness in the belly area will decrease cutting waste. The second syntan is a replacement syntan, Syntan XF 050. Syntan N XF 050 has especially been developed to meet the highest requirements for soft leathers where 'fluffy fullness' is playing an important role. Fluffy fullness is often requested in furniture upholstery, garment leathers and soft shoe nappas. The product benefits of SYNTAN DR 686: * Syntan DR 686 is very suitable for soft leather articles like shoe, bag and furniture * Syntan DR 686 gives a round fullness which improves the belly area in particular * In shoe leathers, Syntan DR 686 combines well with melamine syntans such as Syntan LF 187, Syntan RF 181, Syntan RF 282 or Syntan TF 383 for a good mix of fullness and tightness * Syntan DR 686 has a strong influence on the grain tightness * Syntan DR 686 has an efficient uptake The product benefits of SYNTAN XF 050: * Syntan XF 050 is very suitable for soft leather articles like furniture upholstery, soft shoe nappa and garment leathers * The open and lightweight feel gives a typical fluffy fullness * The uniform and relaxed handle obtained with Syntan XF 050 is supportive of prolonged milling * Syntan XF 050 gives a better grain tightness in comparsion with most other soft syntans * In shoe and furniture leathers, Syntan XF 050 combines well with Syntan N LF 187 and/or Syntan DF 585 for a good mix of fullness and tightness * In garment and furniture leathers, Syntan XF 050 combines well with Syntan S for a full-bodied handle.
