5 January 2009Ukraine's State Statistics Committee reports that Ukraine exported leather and leather products worth US$325 million in the first ten months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%. Leather and leather products accounted for 0.5% of total Ukrainian exports during the period.
Ukrainian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to October period were 61.4% higher year-on-year at US$201 million. Leather and leather products accounted for 0.3% of total Ukrainian imports. Ukraine's State Statistics Committee reports that the production of leather and leather products in Ukraine in the first eleven months of this year was 7.5% higher than in the same period in 2007. In comparison, industrial output in Ukraine in the January to November period this year was 0.7% lower year-on-year.
