US beef back on Korean menu

18 April 2006

US beef is due to go back on sale in South Korea in early April, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Officials in Seoul had originally said that sales would be likely to resume some time this month. Korean inspectors are due to visit the United States to check slaughterhouses and processors that are allowed to export beef, said Lee Yang-ho, an agency spokesman.
