Uzbekistan footwear production

Uzbekcharmpoyabzali (Uzbek Leather and Footwear Industry) produced 8 million pairs of shoes worth US$10.2 million in 2002, according to UzReport. Exports rose by five times when compared with 2001. The corporation's production in the first quarter of this year increased by a substantial 124% year-on-year.
