Vietnam leather footwear exports to US

The Vietnam Leather Footwear Association (Lefaso) says that Vietnamese leather footwear exports to the United States are likely to increase following the country's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), according to the Vietnamese News Agency. Vietnam exported leather shoes worth US$600 million to the United States in 2005, a year-on-year increase of 25%. Vietnamese leather shoe uppers exports worth US$30 million to the US in the first eleven months of 2006 were more than 300% higher than in the same period in 2005.
